Aces for the Arts at The Cultural Arts Center (909 South St. Andrews Street)from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. This annual fundraiser helps support The Cultural Arts Center. Join the Dothan Area Young Professionals for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, blackjack, poker and more. There will also be a raffle with great prizes to be given away. January 26, 2012 Music South presents the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s “Music of Generations”

On Thursday, January 26, Music South presents the Alabama Symphony Orchestra performing “Music of Generations” at 7:30pm at the Dothan Opera House. Experience a concert performed by the state’s premier performing arts organization and one of the most dynamic, artistically innovative leaders in the field. Under the leadership of Music Director and Principal Conductor Justin Brown, the ASO works to produce creative, dynamic programming and to be recognized as an artistically innovative leader in the field – winning ASCAP Awards in 2010 and 2011 for Adventurous Programming and Dedication to New American Music and receiving an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall in May 2012 as a part of the competitive Spring For Music Festival, which is underwritten by a $1 million grant from the Mellon Foundation. Tickets are free for current concert season ticket holders.
