Patrick Liester

Patrick hails from the small Midwestern town of Fremont, Nebraska. After moving to Florida in the mid 1980s, he and his wife, Glenda, began a very successful sales career together.

Their sales journey brought them to Dothan in 1996 to start American Classifieds (formerly known as Thrifty Nickel). In 2001, P.A.L. Media Services was started as a printing, delivery and specialty advertising company. In the summer of 2009, Patrick purchased Dothan Magazine.

Patrick is grateful to the city of Dothan for how good it has been to his family, which is why he dedicates countless hours of service and financial contributions to various non-profit organizations throughout Dothan.

Shannon Clinton

Shannon is a transplant from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and even before she moved to Dothan in spring 2010, she began writing for Dothan Magazine as a freelance writer.

Soon after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism from Western Kentucky University in 1995, Shannon worked at her hometown weekly and daily newspapers before launching a full-time freelance career in 1999.

Since then, she’s contributed articles and photos for a variety of magazines and newspapers in Kentucky, Alabama and the Florida panhandle, specializing in business and travel writing and human interest stories. She was thrilled to join the Dothan Magazine family as editor in January 2014.Shannon has two sons, Shaun and Brennan, and she lives in Dothan with her husband, Kendall, who is the city editor at the Dothan Eagle. They own a spirited yet lovable Chihuahua mix named Paisleigh.

In her spare time, Shannon enjoys reading autobiographies, cooking, gardening, watching University of Kentucky men’s basketball games and going to the beach. She also gets way too excited about recycling and composting. Her favorite movie is “Harold and Maude,” and one day she wants to own a Jaguar hearse.

Suzanne S. Barrick
Ad Sales Representative

Suzanne came to Dothan in 1970 after growing up in Nashville and Montgomery.

For the past 15 years she has excelled in a number of sales positions in Dothan, especially in the print media industry. Her passion and love of Dothan have been particularly evident in her time spent volunteering for the Dothan Chamber of Commerce, where she received the Diplomat of the Year Award and also participated in Leadership Dothan.

Suzanne is always willing to go the extra mile for her clients as she helps promote business opportunities across Dothan. She is a member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity and is the mother of three grown children and five grandchildren.



Julie Stewart
Ad Sales Representative

Julie joined Dothan Magazine this past April. Prior to that, Julie worked as the community representative for Bradford Health Services.

She also worked for more than 14 years with the Dothan Eagle and Enterprise Ledger in advertising sales and management.

Julie is married to Mark Stewart and they have two daughters, Elizabeth and Hannah. Elizabeth is 16, and is a junior at Providence Christian School and Hannah is 11 and is in sixth grade at Providence Christian School.

Julie and her family are members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Julie is enjoying being back in the advertising business and is looking forward to helping her customers grow their business.

Jen Vizuete

Jennefer (yes, spelled with an ‘e’, not an ‘i’) comes to us via St. Louis, Missouri, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and also developed a love for amazing food and the St. Louis Cardinals.

She moved to Dothan in 2011 with her then-fiance (and now husband), James Kaffenberger, a former Blackhawk pilot.

Jen began writing for Dothan Magazine last summer and in January 2013 she became part of the magazine’s office family, overseeing Distribution and Administration.

Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, running, and heading to Port St. Joe on weekend trips with her husband and their boat, “Linger Longer.”

Drew Chapman
Graphic Designer

Drew has called Dothan home for the last 11 years. Born in a military family to parents Tony and Suzanne, he moved up and down the East Coast until settling in Dothan after his father’s retirement from the Navy.

Drew graduated from Troy University in 2012 with a degree in Design, Technology & Industry and has returned home to start his career in the field.

In his free time, Drew enjoys cooking, do-it-yourself projects, video games, surreal TV comedies and road trips with his girlfriend, Jordan, and their rescue dog, a Pomeranian named Betsy.
