Patrick hails from the small Midwestern town of Fremont, Nebraska. After moving to Florida in the mid 1980s, he and his wife, Glenda, began a very successful sales career together.
Their sales journey brought them to Dothan in 1996 to start American Classifieds (formerly known as Thrifty Nickel). In 2001, P.A.L. Media Services was started as a printing, delivery and specialty advertising company. In the summer of 2009, Patrick purchased Dothan Magazine.
Patrick is grateful to the city of Dothan for how good it has been to his family, which is why he dedicates countless hours of service and financial contributions to various non-profit organizations throughout Dothan.
Shannon is a transplant from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and even before she moved to Dothan in spring 2010, she began writing for Dothan Magazine as a freelance writer.

Since then, she’s contributed articles and photos for a variety of magazines and newspapers in Kentucky, Alabama and the Florida panhandle, specializing in business and travel writing and human interest stories. She was thrilled to join the Dothan Magazine family as editor in January 2014.Shannon has two sons, Shaun and Brennan, and she lives in Dothan with her husband, Kendall, who is the city editor at the Dothan Eagle. They own a spirited yet lovable Chihuahua mix named Paisleigh.
In her spare time, Shannon enjoys reading autobiographies, cooking, gardening, watching University of Kentucky men’s basketball games and going to the beach. She also gets way too excited about recycling and composting. Her favorite movie is “Harold and Maude,” and one day she wants to own a Jaguar hearse.
